The 2021 Vezel looks better when you see it in person. It has a distinct and sharp appearance, with its exterior framework that is similar to the Brand New Toyota Harrier, with a coupe-like fit for its upper body.
It slightly differs from the previous model, with a more angular look and its side slash being substituted, with a straight line that connects the head and tail lights.
The rear design has a sporty vibe with its suspended roofline. Also, the number plate recess pushed further down compared to the previous version.
When we look inside the 2021 Vezel, its interior design looks classy and minimalist, as set by the horizontal sweep of the instrument panel.
The dashboard is clutter free, comprising only a seven-inch instrument cluster, and some simple rotary climate control knobs above the centre console. It comes with many special features for entertainment purposes, such as a reversing camera, a navigation system, as well as USB and iPod video playback.
The air con vents are two L-shaped outlets by the A-pillars, which direct air down the inside of the crossover’s windows to adjust the interior temperature.
When we compare with the previous model, the legroom is bigger in the 2021 Vezel with the headroom slightly lesser than before. It also retains the versatile Magic Seats that provide dual fold-flat or flip-up seat flexibility, accommodating the cargo space needed.

During our test drive on normal city road, the car accelerates instantly and drives as good as the previous Harrier with the 2.0 Turbo engine.
The 2021 model comes with E:HEV, which adopts a variety of drive modes. The engine provides electricity to assist the motor. The motor is primary source of power and acceleration for the 2021 Vezel. The e:HEV hybrid powertrain operates in a unique way, with merely one electric motor powering the car, alongside the petrol engine. The second motor is connected to the engine, which serves as a generator that charges the car’s battery. It has a fuel consumption of 25km/L and 129 horsepower.
